CFS™ Training and Development Programmes

We deliver a variety of tried and tested CFS™ training and development programmes for delegates. Sometimes we work with LA groups. Sometimes we work with clusters of schools or settings. Sometimes we work in situ with whole staff teams. Sometimes we deliver bespoke training programmes for example, to understand boys preferred contexts for learning or to inform the appropriate expansion of provision for 2 year olds. Our training is always interactive and visual, combining an overview of Elizabeth Jarman’s research into the impact of the physical learning environment, lots of examples of practice, ‘hands on’ activities and plenty of discussion.

Training inspires a self-audit of delegates’ environments and includes development tasks to consolidate learning and trigger action. A range of trainer support or resource options are available to delegates beyond training to sustain the approach.

As well as delivering keynotes, we also provide ‘complete’ CFS™ conference programmes, which include keynote input from Elizabeth Jarman and workshops led by core team trainers.

"I was very impressed by the quality of the whole conference. It was extremely well organised, encouraging all of the practitioners to become involved. There was an excellent balance between ‘thinking and doing’ with the sessions carefully planned to build on the range of experience and understanding of each of the practitioners." Janice Darkes-Sutcliffe, Early Years Adviser, Liverpool.

"Excellent presentation, well prepared, clearly conveyed rationale with lots of practical suggestions, instilling confidence and enthusiasm in those engaged in the training. The training was so good those attending didn't really want the day to end... but, on the other hand, they couldn't wait to get back to their settings to put their learning into practice". Kay Errington, Early Years Service Manager, Bournemouth.
